8 way Tap at MDU

As an Audio Technician at an 8-way tap, I'm trying to explain how cable math works. For instance, if you start with 15 dB at the point of entry before the 8-way tap, and then you insert into the tap, it loses 11 dB. So, that leaves you with 15 dB - 11 dB = 4 dB. This understanding is essential for any Cable Technician working with Internet services.

This is a great book to have, even for those who want to learn something about working on your house, including tips that can benefit an Audio Technician or a Cable Technician. It's really a valuable resource. I picked mine up at Goodwill, and it has helped me a lot, even though I've been working on houses for years. There are still some things I learned that I didn't know before, making it a worthwhile read if you come across it, especially if you're in the business of providing Internet services or similar.

Just talking about when I use to use these ports and what these ports did. I have not seen parallel ports on new computers. They use USB and other ways now. But I was just bringing out what this was used for.
